About the Role
Join our growing development team and work on diverse projects for clients across Japan and ASEAN. You’ll gain valuable experience with Japanese engineering methodologies while building real-world applications used by thousands of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop features for web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js
- Implement responsive UI components based on design mockups
- Build and maintain REST APIs and database schemas
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- Participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Learn Japanese development standards and best practices
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers
- Debug issues and optimize application performance
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of web development experience
- Strong proficiency in React (hooks, context, component patterns)
- Good understanding of Next.js or similar frameworks
- Node.js experience (Express or similar frameworks)
- JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
- HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Experience with Git version control
- Basic understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Good communication skills in English
- Eagerness to learn and grow
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or CSS-in-JS
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Basic Japanese language skills (N4 or willing to learn)
- Experience working in agile teams
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
