Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote) Experience: 3+ years


About the Role

Build and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers applications for our Japanese clients and our flagship product Tsunagu. You’ll work with modern DevOps tools and practices to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS/Azure/GCP infrastructure
  • Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Implement monitoring and alerting (DataDog, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
  • Ensure security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security)
  • Optimize infrastructure costs and performance
  • Manage disaster recovery and backup strategies
  • Document infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Respond to production incidents and perform root cause analysis

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of DevOps or SRE experience
  • Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront)
  • Proficient with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools
  • Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Understanding of networking (VPC, DNS, load balancers)
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience with multi-region deployments
  • Knowledge of Azure or GCP
  • Security certifications or experience with compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
  • Experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux)
  • Japanese language skills (N3 or higher)
  • Prior work with Japanese clients
