This year, we’ve had the chance to work with Universiti Malaysia Sabah, a leading public university in Malaysia’s Sabah and Labuan region, on something a little different: LLL Inc. is co-organizing AMICT 2026, the 3rd International Conference on Advances in Machine Intelligence and Cybersecurity Technologies, alongside UMS’s Faculty of Computing and Informatics.
It runs 12–13 November 2026, hybrid, in the Federal Territory of Labuan, under the theme “Machine Intelligence Meets Cybersecurity,” which, if you’ve read anything else on this blog, is roughly where we live anyway. UMS brings the academic side: keynotes, a peer-reviewed paper track headed for IEEE Xplore, sessions spanning cybersecurity to digital healthcare. LLL Inc. is helping out on the Expo floor, bringing a bit of the industry side into the room alongside the research.
What we’re bringing to Labuan
L-career
L-career is a job board built specifically for Labuan, matching jobseekers with IBFC Labuan firms and island employers, with AI-guided profile building for candidates and AI-drafted job descriptions in four languages for employers. Feels right to bring a Labuan jobs platform to an event actually held in Labuan.
Fortress
Fortress is a Chromium browser with a local Privacy Shield built in. It watches what gets pasted into AI chat tools and raises a Risk Alert — in under three seconds — before an API key or a customer record leaves the machine through a prompt. Classification happens entirely on-device, and the project is open source. It’s the product we’re building next.
We’re also bringing a few other things we’ve been building. We’d rather show those in person than describe them here, so there will be more at the booth than this post covers.
The conference itself
Beyond our booth, there’s a proper program: keynotes from Prof. Dr. Selvakumar Manickam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Varun Ojha, and Prof. Dr. Adian Fatchur Rochim. Topics span machine intelligence, cybersecurity, creative computing, user experience, data technologies, language engineering, visual analytics, decision-support systems, and optimization, with a special session on digital healthcare and medicine. Accepted papers are submitted to IEEE Xplore and are expected to be indexed in Scopus, subject to approval.
The conference is organised by the UMS Faculty of Computing and Informatics, co-organised by MaDICT (Majlis Dekan ICT) and LLL Inc., and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Sabah Subsection, with strategic collaborators including Tourism Malaysia, Perbadanan Labuan, JAIST, and Universitas Diponegoro.
