Open Source Software

We build in the open — and give back to the ecosystem we grew from.

LLL maintains open source tools in two ways: building new ones from scratch with AI (the LLL Series), and forking archived projects to keep them alive for the community (the Leborn Series). All of it is free, public, and on GitHub.

Open Source Software

What is OSS?

Open Source Software is software whose source code is published publicly — anyone can read it, use it, modify it, and redistribute it, usually under a license that guarantees those freedoms. Instead of a black box you pay to use, it's a shared, inspectable foundation that a whole community can build on together.

Why we build in the open

Open tools benefit the community, the craft, and the world.

LLL grew out of tools, frameworks, and knowledge that the open source community made freely available. Publishing our own work in the open is how we pay that forward.

01 · Community

Give back what we grew from

Every product we ship stands on open source foundations. Publishing our own tools is how we return value to the ecosystem that made our work possible.

02 · Craft

Public code is better code

Code that anyone can read has to be written with care. Building in the open keeps our engineering honest and forces clarity over shortcuts.

03 · The world

Useful tools should be free to use

Not every useful tool needs to be a product with a paywall. Some things are simply worth building well and giving away.
